Why can’t you build FE 427s? They make more power than the Windsor. They are truly amazing engines. The Windsor was not loved in the 60s, the 70s. The 80s was when people started doing these strokers. I’m definitely disappointed that the HF2 engine that beat the world is now considered “ obsolete “ 50s inferior design. This could not be further from the truth. Look at the LS get into an FE and tell me what is inferior? This is crazy talk. You can buy an entire 500 ci FE with aftermarket parts that are designed just like the original. The FE is still racing in NHRA. I don’t get it. The two weigh the same. Some things just don’t make sense to me. I have a a whole shed full of 600+ hp original 390 FE obsolete junk, just stuff I built myself.

5lbs boost on stock 289/302 builds is typical. When you put better heads/intake the S/C will show less boost around 3-4psi.

I built a combo like this with trickflow 11r 190 heads, stroked 282 comp cam, and efi for about 7k dollars. Made 515hp on a dynomite marine dyno. Diy if you are on a budget and have the time and tools.

How much faster did the larger throttle body make the engine rev.
There’s really no better way to turn speculation into fact than testing. No matter if it’s on the dyno or the track. Just because a component is bigger or more expensive doesn’t necessarily mean it will provide the results that the customer wants. Prestige always goes the extra mile to ensure that the customers questions are answered completely. Especially when it’s the Senior Engine Builder providing the answers 🏁.

That’s quite an impressive collection. The tall velocity stacks look good but might look even better on a Ford with symmetrical ports. The undisputed king of bling is the roots BLOWER.

Will the oven and vibration work well with a D4TE 105 FE block that I want to turbocharge with twins in the 40mm hot side 88 etc cold on a 410 FE. I am not sure on heads yet, but 850 hp is the goal. What do you think of such an endeavor? I have side oiling PSE crossbolt main caps for 2 and 4 where they usually crack. The crank is an iron 428 3.98 and I want to go with 4.065 bores. 410-413 ci. Turbos are great for the overlap jerk on the piston s and rods. I would like Molmar 440 Chrysler rods at 6.766 and 1.35 CH pistons. Bench racing right now, but accumulating parts. I have a solid roller Bullet 245 @.050 and .600 lift. It should spool turbos well enough. But 800-900 hp would be neat from an FE the 3 rib main like the SCJ428. A blow through of course.
Sounds like a cool project. As far as the oven its universal and works well for all engine blocks. The shot peen machine does a nice job cleaning all the blocks and shaker makes sure the media is shook out of the block prior to engaging in machining.
I am an FE guy, but those are good numbers. It sounds a little bit lazy, is it a 3 inch main? I built a 394 ci FE back in 1999 that I built light with good hardware. It is still a beast. 503 hp at 6800 and 488 ft lbs at 4400 rpm’s. And it still revs to 7200 like a mad bull. lol. I love these W engines though because they have welcomed a new generation into the love of Ford. You have a nice engine there. Congratulations!

427 stroker small blocks are great but there’s nothing quite like a real 427 FE big block. The dual quads top the beautiful exterior and expertly matched interior components complete this impressive package. Another winner from PM 🏆.
